About CallTweet
A small, free tool for people who'd rather say it than type it.
CallTweet is a free web tool from the CallTweet Team. You talk, it writes down what you said, and it shapes the result into a post or thread that fits X's limits. Then you post it yourself.
Why we built it
Plenty of good posts start as a thought you have while walking, cooking or driving home (pull over first). Typing it out on a phone keyboard is where many of them die. Phones and computers already have decent speech recognition, but they hand you a wall of text with no idea of 280 characters, no sense of where a thread should break, and commas in strange places.
CallTweet fills that gap with a few focused jobs: listen, count the way X counts, split at sentence boundaries, number the posts, and get the first one into X's composer. It's also meant for people who find typing slow or painful. If that's you, our guide to accessible posting tools covers the built-in options on every major platform.
How we run it
The tool is one page of plain JavaScript with no account, no cookies and no analytics. In most browsers the speech-to-text step is handled by the browser itself. Where that doesn't work, a small service of ours on Cloudflare turns the clip into text and discards the audio. The privacy page explains who does what.
We don't post on your behalf and never ask for your X login. The Post on X button only opens X's own composer with your words filled in.
About the name
The calltweet.com domain once belonged to an early service that let people post to Twitter by phoning a number and speaking. That service shut down years ago, and we have no connection to it or to the people who ran it. We took on the domain in 2026 and built something new that suits the name: voice in, post out, all inside your browser.
Not affiliated with X
CallTweet is independent. It isn't made, endorsed or supported by X Corp. "X" and "Twitter" are named only to say what the tool works with.
